Dominik Chrzan, MD

Dr. Dominik Chrzan acquired Florida Apheresis from its founder, Dr. Seth J. Baum one of the most respected lipidologists in the United States and the physician who established the only dedicated lipoprotein apheresis program in southeast Florida. That foundation, combined with Dr. Chrzan's own expertise in preventive medicine and lipidology, makes Florida Apheresis uniquely positioned to serve patients with the most complex cholesterol disorders in South Florida.

Board-certified in family medicine since 2013, Dr. Chrzan has spent over a decade building medprevent, one of South Florida's most respected preventive medicine practices with a focused expertise in cardiovascular risk reduction. His training with the American Society for Preventive Cardiology deepened his understanding of inherited cholesterol disorders, including familial hypercholesterolemia and elevated Lp(a)  conditions that medications frequently fail to control.

Under Dr. Chrzan's leadership, Florida Apheresis continues the mission Dr. Baum established: ensuring that no patient in South Florida is told "there's nothing more we can do" when a proven, effective treatment exists.

Dayna Morelli Hirsch, FNP-C

Dayna Morelli, brings a strong foundation in critical care and a passion for preventive medicine to her role as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Miami before completing her Nurse Practitioner training at Georgetown University, graduating with a 4.0 GPA. Her clinical background includes Intensive Care Unit experience, where she developed a deep understanding of complex disease processes and the critical importance of early intervention in achieving better patient outcomes.

Driven by a commitment to treating root causes rather than simply managing symptoms, Dayna focuses on comprehensive, personalized care tailored to each patient's unique needs and goals. She has a particular interest in lipidology and cardiometabolic health and is actively involved in research aimed at improving long-term outcomes through evidence-based prevention strategies. She believes that the most powerful medicine is a proactive one, empowering patients with the knowledge and tools to take charge of their health before problems arise.

When not caring for patients, Dayna enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, and traveling.

Florida Apheresis was founded to fill a critical gap in cardiovascular care. Millions of Americans have dangerously high Lp(a) or LDL cholesterol that medications simply cannot control yet access to lipoprotein apheresis remains limited. We exist to change that.

Located in Boca Raton, we are one of the few dedicated outpatient apheresis centers in South Florida. Our team specializes in identifying patients who qualify, navigating insurance, and delivering this life-changing treatment in a comfortable, clinical setting without a hospital stay.

We believe that no patient should be told "there's nothing more we can do" when a proven, effective treatment exists. Our goal is to reduce cardiovascular events in patients who have been underserved by traditional lipid therapies  and to work alongside their existing care team to do it.
